Academic Research

 Needing to look into universities and courses as much as I can before making a start in applying, notes were written up with certain elements I will be needing to keep in mind when doing the research. This involves the type of course and how it runs, leading to the accommodation.


Having the key parts gathered now, a start on the actual research has been made.


Taking a long while, I have finally managed to find five courses I will be applying for. Going through as much as I could about the success rates for a number of different universities, the grades they require and how assignments as such are assessed, enough intel had been gathered helping me figure out which institutes I would most likely be happy going to next year.

Overtaking my original first choice, I have now found a course held at York University that I favour compared to the rest I was able to look into. Finding it to be the most professional and successful with the industry, from what I believe, I will be keeping my fingers crossed from the moment my UCAS application has been sent.

Mock Interview

With a mock interview coming up to prepare me for the real world in the industry, I have been tasked with preparing a presentation for an original video product of my choice, a TV show, a short film, documentary, etc. Presenting this to the BBC, we also have to choose the channel we believe is best for our product. For mine, I had decided to go with the BBC Three finding that they focus on entertainment, documentaries, and also aim to break boundaries with what they create. As for the idea, I will be presenting my original idea for the B2 Unit that had to be scrapped. Before going ahead with creating the presentation though, research was done.
