Business card
Basing off of the logo product, a business card is now in the works for 'Kilbride Productions'.
Not knowing so much about business cards, before making a start on my own I had decided to do some research. Looking into the history of the item and finding rules to having and presenting a business card, tips were also found giving ideas as to how the card can be laid out with the requirements as to what should be on the business card. All of this I can now interpretate onto my design, and better it with the knowledge encountered. But first, the research document:
Using the information gathered and the logo created as mentioned, my own business card is now being creating with the help of the website 'Canva'.
Before uploading the final outcomes, the process of these being made had all been documented using PowerPoint.
Finding this to be a tough product to get right, with six prototypes here they are:
Design 2: Re-attempting the first layout, I had gone back into photoshop to remove the title from the bowl allowing me to place it clearer on the card.
Involving my name in the card had also bee scrapped for this one as I didn't think it would fit well.Design 3: Almost wanting to scrap this one as well, although I like the concept of it I started to think it wasn't going to work.
That was of course until the backdrop had been switched from white to a lighter shade of red. Fixing it, this design has now became one of my two favourite's I will be having to choose from.
Design 4: Inspired by the layout suggestions found doing my research this one had managed to come about.
With the logo and title on the front of the card...
You can find the contact details written up in the middle of the opposite side. Allowing percipients to find all the information they would need at a flip of the product.

As I had mentioned about having two favourite designs, this is the other.
Design 5: By this prototype, I was beginning to run out of ideas and had used a template found to use as the base then go from there. By the result though, the card to me just looks messy. I can't really state why, but just looking at the product I just know that I don't like how it looks.
Design 6: Again with using a provided template, and again I don't really like the result. I prefer it to the last one, but the text just looks out of place here.

With that being all of my designs, not finished yet I have created a survey and sent it around to nine people who are all within my target audience range. Hearing back from two as of now, I will be waiting a few hours more before finishing off this blog giving the remaining participants a chance to respond.
Finally with six people taking part, I have made a start now on analyzing those responses in a word document.
Finding design four, five and six to result the best, it is the fourth prototype that most of the participants had liked best claiming it to be the most professional design. Taking that said design and my audiences' suggestions, a final outcome is being made of this. And here it is, my official business card:
As mentioned with going with the fourth design, a few adjustments were made whilst also getting the second opinion from one of the participants to the survey. On the front, the title size was expanded and also changed to a light gray greatly approved by the participant.
And thinking about the shape, a rhombus was used as a light hitting the logo and title helping the contents to stand out more.
Flipping over to the back, the same adjustments were made pretty much but with an edit to the text following that. Using two different fonts for each part, a bolder and stricter font was used for the heading with a fancier and smaller font being used over the details.
